About LMI.
The data provided on this website is designed to be actionable and could be leveraged to inform grant development, secondary and post-secondary program development and evaluation, and regional partnerships in better serving local industries’ workforce needs.
Together, we can move our community’s workforce forward and ensure our businesses thrive in the future.
The Economic and Workforce Development Center.
The purpose of the Economic and Workforce Development Center (EWDC), powered by Monroe Community College (MCC), is to proactively address shortages in the educational pipeline and skills gaps in the existing workforce, and to promote the use of data to guide solutions to workforce-related issues.
Our Commitment.
The overall goal of this resource is to deliver high-quality, relevant and actionable labor market data. Data is useful only to the extent that it may be analyzed and applied to create or support meaningful outcomes. This is a very important point that sits at the center of our mission.
This resource is intended to function as a reference tool that provides a deeper and more data-driven understanding of workforce dynamics, particularly as they relate to estimated labor supply and demand analysis. It is our hope that this information will complement current and future regional workforce policy discussions and demonstrate the importance of additional regional investments in middle-skilled career-oriented education and training programs. Please note that this is a working framework, and as a result, we anticipate future development.
Thank you.
We would like to recognize JP Morgan Chase & Company. Their generosity and support made it possible for us to transform our labor market information into an online resource.
We are also very grateful for the generous, continued support of our stakeholders. A special thanks to the members of our Regional Advisory Boards, which include local secondary- and post-secondary educators, workforce practitioners, economic developers, and economists, all of whom shared invaluable feedback regarding how our labor market data might better support their work.
